The Faircliff, currently under construction, is gearing up to be another legacy project for Jonathan Rose Companies. The portion of the project we are consulting on consists of 125 units of affordable housing, along side a 197 units of mixed use and mixed income housing located in Ward 1. The two side-by-side projects will replace the former 80-unit Faircliff Plaza East apartment complex, quadrupling the total number of housing units on site. This project pursued several sources of funding including LIHTC, C-PACE, DC Housing Authority, Capital One and loan from the HUD 221(d)4 program.

Throop Corners is the first of five city owned sites planned for development, funded by HPD and HDC . This collaborative partnership born from a decades long discourse over the future of the land includes a mix of studio,1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom units. All apartments are at or below 80% AMI, including homes set aside for formerly homeless New Yorkers. In addition to affordable apartments and amenities, the building includes a ground floor workforce development center operated by St. Nicks Alliance in 6,400 square feet of community facility space.

The vision for this project was to provide net zero living for 56 units of low income housing in the Kingston community. Residents pay one bill for their rent and utility bills as part of the leasing agreement and finance strategy.  The project was recognized by Upstate Region by the New York State Association for Affordable Housing as the 2020 Project of the Year. The project also received a Zero Net Energy Designation, meaning total amount of energy used on an annual basis is equal to the amount of renewable energy created on the site. The project received multiple sources of financing including, New York State Division of Housing & Community Renewal, NYSERDA, among others.

We are supporting Jonathan Rose with sustainability consulting to support development of a 9 story, 96,000 GSF building with 130 units of affordable senior housing. The project includes a mix of studio, 1 and 2 bedroom units and will be constructed on under utilized surface parking lot on site.
